Our Immersive Events
The gatherings that we host range from ocean cold water immersion, indoor float sessions, sound baths, swim lessons, spa visits, beach meetups, kayak paddles, boat rides, and ferry trips to nearby islands. We want people to get comfortable with being around water and in nature by offering knowledge on how to prepare for these moments- not only for comfort and survival but so participants can be prepared to be local advocates for environmental and water justice.

Cold water immersion
This ain’t nothing new! There are so many benefits to cold water immersion and living in the Ocean State makes this a convenient and an easy to access practice. Not only is the water cold most of the year, but it’s good and salty, making it medicinal and helps to make you more buoyant. Some of the benefits for cold water immersion are that it’s great for your parasympathetic nervous system, reduces cortisol levels in your body, decreases stress, regulates blood pressure, and reduces inflammation of the joints.
Join us for bi-monthly sessions in the water during the winter. Interested in a solo or group session, inquire below.

Swim Cohort
Join us for our first ever swim cohort. If we’re going to do this, we’re going to do this right. In this intimate group of 6 women, students will go through a 2 month program together where you will not only learn to swim with lifeguards that look like you, but learn to build your water story which includes dealing with trauma and fears around the water by working with our cognative behavioral therapist, learn how to transfer mindfullness skills and self soothing methods from the water to on land and in everyday life with our coach. Oh, did I mention that we will be in an indoor heated private pool? I know how y’all are.
All participants get a preparation list prior, a float care package.
In order to be intentional and mitigate harm, these swim session are affiinity spaces, because we feel that it is important to be in supportive spaces with people that have similar cultural, social or life experiences as you do when being at your most vulnerable. This first session is a Black Women only space. If you are interested or know someone who would benefit, please let us know. If there are groups that you would like us to represent and host, let us know. If you want a private workshop done for your group, let us know.
Atlantic Ocean Shore’s Water Ritual
It’s important for us to reclaim and take up space. Living in Rhode Island at the shores of where the first slave ships from the transatlantic slave trade is real. And the trauma and legacy of that carries on today. So we want to recognize this and give offerings to our ancestors who took that long journey and arrived on these shores, and to those who’s burial grounds are at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. We will be holding gatherings at the water’s edge to pay homage.
